Abstract

Optimization of video data discovery service is continuing research in wireless sensor networks (WSN). Research on WSN about service discovery of video data is due to limited resource resources, limited electrical power, limited connections in the network and much movement from Wireless Sensor Network devices. In this study, developing river monitoring using a wireless sensor network. The method of optimizing service discovery of video data on wireless sensor network devices is utilizing network routing protocols. The developed routing protocol developed is the optimization of video discovery service packs on protocol routing Optimized Link State Routing. Service discovery optimization is a description of service discovery in video data in the routing protocol. Optimization of video data description packages in service discovery using the Attenuated Bloom filter. Distribution of packet description at network layer by utilizing the routing protocol Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR). The method of optimizing video service discovery data for monitoring rivers on a wireless sensor network by utilizing OLSR routing protocol is called MyWSN. Testing optimization of the description of video data on a wireless sensor network using a simulation of Network Simulator 2 (NS-2). The test results and data analysis showed that MyWSN was able to overcome resource constraints on the Wireless Sensor Network, namely a reduction of bandwidth of 31.6% and a reduction in delay of 16.7% on the wireless sensor network. © 2018 IEEE.
