The purpose of this study is to classify the teacher's perceptions of the implementation of playful learning in improving critical thinking skills. This study used the C-SVM method, which is a collaboration of the Support Vector Machine method with Correlation-based method to classify and map the tendency of teacher's perceptions as a criteria in measuring the level of critical thinking skills. The SVM method has the advantage of being able to map non-linear data into a high-dimensional feature space. This informs that SVM has the ability to generalize data. However, the SVM method has a less efficient data processing process, so a feature selection method is needed to help explore data accuracy efficiently. The feature selection method used was Correlation-based, because the approach taken is quite simple and efficient. This study used quantitative survey data regarding teacher perceptions of the implementation of playful learning. Based on the results of classification, many teachers' perceptions agree that playful learning can improve critical thinking skills with an accuracy value of 75% of data evaluation. © 2018 IEEE.
