Abstract

Programming Competition is a learning media for students in the field of computer programming. In computer programming competitions, students need to understand algorithms, mathematics and data structures. This research develops the Virtual Programming Lab UM (VPLUM) system that is used to support programming competition at university, national and international level and can also be applied as learning media for students to do their own study either at university or at home. The study concluded that the assessment data for media programming reached 90.5%, the results for programming content were 89%, the design and model expert's results were 88%, and the average result in groups and online tests was 80% and the average overall value of VPLUM is 90.8%. © 2017 IEEE.
