Abstract

Selection of majors in high school is a complex problem experienced for high school students, because it must be in line with students' interests and talents; especially the selection of majors for high school students is the beginning of the career selection for their education level in the future. Therefore, it is necessary to do a classification using certain method for the best decision. Various data mining methods have been widely used for solving problems such as Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), C4.5, Fuzzy Multi Criteria Decision Making (FMCDM), forward chaining, fuzzy logic, Case-Based Reasoning (CBR), Simple Additive Weight (SAW), and adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system. This study used adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system to decide the high school students major. The obtained results are 95.3% of accuracy, 92% of precision, and 93.1% of sensitivity. © 2018 IEEE.
