Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore indepth indigenous values from traditional communities in order to improve children's educational design services. Qualitative phenomenology methods are used to explore the experiences of families and relatives of Indonesian workers who work abroad regarding caring for and guiding and facilitating their children's educational needs. Data was collected through indepth interviews and direct observation of 30 families of migrant workers who have children attending primary and secondary schools. Cross-site analysis is used to construct propositions that refer to theoretical designs about traditional indigenous society. © 2019, Primrose Hall Publishing Group.
