Cu2O is a semiconductor that has a band gap 2.2 eV and potentially used as working electrode of PEC cell. Cu2O thin layer is synthesized by chemical bath deposition (CBD) method at the room temperature. The formation of Cu2O thin layer was prepared on a stainless steel substrate. In this work, we investigate the effect of a Cu2O thin layer/stainless steel as a working electrode with immersion cycle variation. The crystal structure was analyzed by XRD. Photoresponse measurement has time response τr of 1.3 s andtime decay τdof 2.9 s with the maximum current of 40 nA. © 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
