In this paper, we present the comparison results of the hybrid on-grid photovoltaic (PV) system. We compared AC and DC grid which supply the household loads. The load profiles were obtained through a survey to 10 residents in Malang city. The design was carried out by considering the efficiency of each converter so that the percentage of power losses in each converter could be computed. The efficiency of DC grid is reached 93.20%, while in AC grid was only 90.13%. Moreover, based on the results we have obtained, DC grid performs better than AC grid under load change. © 2019 IEEE.
