In this paper, we design triangular microstrip antennas both Left Handed Circularly Polarized (LHCP) and Right Handed Circularly Polarized (RHCP) as the configuration of Circularly Polarized-Synthetic Aperture Radar (CP-SAR) operated and embedded at the L-band on airspace having a compact size, lightweight, conformability of the substrate surface, low cost, easier to integrate with other circuits, and flexible. The investigation of triangular microstrip antennas and its radiation characteristics are performed by numerical simulations aimed for CP-SAR sensor application. The corporate feeding-line design is implemented by combining some T-junctions to distribute the current from input port to radiating patches and to reach four patches of LHCP and RHCP antennas. The performances of triangular microstrip antennas satisfy the requirements of the specification of CP-SAR system using airspace. © 2019 Association for Computing Machinery.
