Abstract

This article purpose is to reveal the relationship and contribution of Mastery Goal Orientation to the Ability of Self Adaptation for an employment. The research method used quantitative with a descriptive correlational research design. The research sample was vocational school students with electric power installation program (TITL) as a competencies in the city of Malang, East Java. The total sample was implemented in this research are 129 students. The data collection tool uses a questionnaire technique. The reliability of the Mastery Goal Orientation questionnaire instrument was 0.862 (Alpha Cronbach), and the reliability of the Adaptation Ability questionnaire instrument was 0.893 (Alpha Cronbach's). The analysis data technique uses the analysis of 'Simple Regression' by using SPSS tools. The results of the study revealed a positive correlation and significant correlation between Mastery Goal Orientation and Self Adaptation Ability with R = 0.641 (psig 0.000 <0.05).
