So far the computational intelligence approach has become increasingly popular in various problems and developed in many types according to the inspiration that initiated the idea. Furthermore, this paper reviews the Thunderstorm Algorithm as a new computational method applied to determine the optimal value of economic delivery using the IEEE-62 model as a test system. Based on the simulation results show that this algorithm has good performance and fast convergence in finding optimal solutions with a short time. With reference to the IEEE model, in 22 steps the optimal value of $ 15,586 / hour was obtained from the starting point of looking for a solution at $ 28,858 / hour. In addition, in terms of time, the optimal solution calculation process requires 2.5 seconds for streaming and is achieved in 0.09 seconds to cover the dead trail including 0.5 seconds for replacement. © 2019 IEEE
