Abstract

The purpose of the study was to reveal the guidance and counseling students' perception of the practices of Islamic counseling. This study applied qualitative approach. The design of the study was case study. The data were collected through in-depth interviews, open-ended qualitative questionnaire, and photo voice. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The data were validated through confirmation of the subject regarding the initial research result. The result of the study showed that the students viewed Islamic counseling as a process of giving assistance to counselee to solve their problems based on Quran and sunnah. © 2020, IJSTR.
