The aim of this research were to describe the profile of Senior High Schools students' scientific literacy and describe the factors that affect scientific literacy. This research used descriptive research with quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative data in this research was the results of tests that have been logically and empirically validated. Qualitative data in this research was description of the results questionnaires and interviews regarding factors affecting scientific literacy and the results of validator suggestions. The results of scientific literacy test were analyzed by using percentages to determine the profile of Senior High Schools students' scientific literacy. Factors affecting students' scientific literacy were analyzed by using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation test. The results of this study showed that the profile of Senior High Schools student's scientific literacy feel in the "less" criteria with a mean score of 43,8%. Factors affecting students' scientific literacy include the learning process, students' science attitudes and students' reading interest. © 2020 Author(s).
