In silico study of physalis angulata active compound from bromo tengger semeru nasional park as anti-inflammation

Abstract

Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (BTSNP) has a very high diversity of plants. Physalis angulata (local name: Ciplukan gunung) is the most used within Tengger tribe to treat any kind of disease, especially keep heart and lung in healthy conditions. Tengger tribe used P. angulataby boiling at a certain time then drank it as a tonic. Thisresearch aimedas to analyze active compound from decoction of P. angulata that has an anti-inflammatory agent. Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) result showed that the decoction of P. angulata contained the active compound; two of them were Styrene and Methionine. In silico study between Styrene, Methionine, and G-protein coupled receptor kinases resulted that Styrene and Methionine have potency as an inhibitor for GRK, with a binding affinity of -5.4 kcal/mol and -4 kcal/mol. GRK modulates the NFkB and TNFα signaling pathways in the development of inflammation. The binding of Styrene and Methionine to GRK receptors allows a decrease in inflammation through inhibition of the activity of pro-inflammatory factors. The active compound in P. angulata has the potential as an anti-inflammatory. © 2020 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.
