Abstract

This study aims to determine the counselors' need to develop of a cybercounseling model based on solution-focused for junior high school students. The study population wasjunior high school counselors in East Java. The sample was taken by using the multistage cluster area random sampling technique. The research data were collected by online questionnaires through google forms and analyzed using descriptive techniques. The results showed that counselors needed the development of a solution-focused cyber-counseling model. The solution-focused cybercounseling model that's needed is effective and efficient, contains counseling objectives and steps, with exception finding questions, miracle questions, scaling, compliments, and feedback counseling techniques which are carried out through the online media WhatsApp and google meet which are assessed for its effectiveness and efficiency with online observation evaluation techniques. © 2020 IEEE.
