Teachers Internship Design to Improve Students' Employability Skills in Vocational Education

Abstract

Vocational high school is a secondary education that prepares students to work in a particular field in the industry. Vocational high school as creators of skilled prospective workers in the industry should be able to create and shape the strong character into the students so that after graduation, they have a work ethic that could bring them to develop their careers and implement their competency in the workplace. The problem that occurred was the lack of skilled teachers. The suitable solution to improve teachers' skill was by internship. This paper discussed teachers' internship design in vocational education and aimed to enhance the learners' employability skills. Hopefully, through this model, vocational education could implement it. © 2020 IEEE.
