This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning model assisted by the Massive Open Online Course (PjBL-MOOCs) to improve student learning outcomes in the era of education 4.0. The design used in this study was quasi-experimental research. Participants involved were 46 Indonesian vocational high school students. They were divided into experimental and control classes. Data were collected using objective tests and were analyzed using t-Test. Findings suggest that student learning outcomes in the control class reached an average score of 74.73. Meanwhile, in the experimental class, student learning outcomes reached an average score of 87.14. Our statistical analysis also captured that the probability value of Sig. was 0,000 <0.05. This means that there is a significant difference in student learning outcomes in the control class and experimental class. © 2020 IEEE.
