This study aims to develop e-learning as a learning tool that can accommodate life-based learning in the mechatronics course at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, State University of Malang. The research method used in this study is the ADDIE research development model. The e-learning tool used in this research is Edmodo. It is tested on 10 students in the 1st until 7th meetings of the mechatronics course. Based on the data processing results, 76,4% stated that e-learning that uses a life-based learning model has a media appeal and is easy to use in lecture activities. The results of the data are included in the very valid category so that it suitable to be used. © 2020 IEEE.
