Abstract

Learning media is a tool to deliver learning material to students during the learning process. This research aims to develop comic-based learning media on the social arithmetic learning material of class V I I students. The research trial was conducted at Sunan Kalijaga Jabung Junior High School in class V I I C, with a total of 26 students as the research subjects. The development process of the learning media refers to the A D D I E model, which consists of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Based on data analysis, the results obtained are as follows: (1) the learning media validity test result shows that the learning media is valid with a percentage value of 85% and the category of "Good"; (2) the effectiveness test result was obtained through the students' observation sheet and questionnaire with a percentage of 50% < x < 75% that can be included in the category of "Good"; (3) the practicality test result was obtained through learning observation sheets and student questionnaires. Learning observation sheet with a percentage of 87.5% is included in the category of "Good", while the students' responses questionnaire result sheets with a percentage of 9 1 % is included in the category of "Very Good". Based on those three test results, it can be said that this research has successfully produced a valid, practical and effective learning media © 2020 Institute of Physics Publishing.
