Abstract

Water energy sources, is Important especially as a provider of electrical energy through hydroelectric power. The problem is how to take advantage of the potential of a relatively small flow of water to be used as a power plant, and therefore by utilizing research that is useful to increase the potential of water flow so that it is able to generate enough electricity. The study was carried out with the experimental method, where the results of the design will be tested and retrieval of data and monitoring of data using a Smartphone using a Database as storage data. Test data obtained from the influence of the flow velocity variation of 0.95; 1 and 1.8 (m / sec) and the influence of the flow direction guide. Performance is obtained from test and measurement results. The maximum coefficient is 0.576% with Tip Speed Ratio of 0.82 at a flow of 1.08 (m / sec), the maximum RPM is 94 with an output power of 3471 (mW).The influence of the flow direction guide can improve turbine performance between 50-70%. © 2020 IEEE.
