Generally, Industrial loads consist of large loads. Some of these large loads include types of nonlinear loads such as electric motor, motor drives, inverters, rectifiers, etc. Nonlinear loads are needed by the industry to keep their production. However, these nonlinear loads can reduce power quality in industrial electric power systems. One of the problems of power quality is harmonic. Harmonic can damage fundamental waves from voltage and current. If harmonic is not mitigated, it will cause damage to electrical power system equipment such as transformers, generators, motors, etc. This article discusses harmonic mitigation using detuned reactors and passive filters. The difference between this research and other studies is to analyze the influence of the placement of the detuned reactor. Therefore, the research method was made into four scenarios. The first scenario is harmonic mitigation without using a detuned reactor and passive filter. The second scenario is harmonic mitigation using only passive filters. The third scenario is harmonic mitigation using detuned reactor and passive filter. Detuned reactor is combined with passive filter. The fourth scenario is the same as the third scenario, but in this scenario the detuned reactor is placed at the loads. The parameters analyzed from harmonic are THD, IHD and TDD on harmonic voltage and harmonic current. From all the scenarios' results, it can be concluded that scenario 4 is the best in mitigating harmonic than other scenarios. In scenario 4, THD-V value is 2.12%, TDD value is 0.68%, IHD-V dominant order is 0.98%, and dominant order IHD-I value is 0.71%. © 2020 IEEE.
