This research was specifically aimed to make and create products for local Bali tourism and Balinese people in the form of sokasi by utilizing potential local natural fibers in Bali. Sokasi has an important meaning for Balinese people through religious life and socializing with the community and families. Villages in Bali have bamboo as a potential local natural resource that can be utilized in achieving the objectives of this study. In detail, this study aimed to: (1) produce a prototype of composites in sokasi craft making from engineering bamboo materials, (2) obtain the results of tensile strength testing with several variations of fiber volume fraction, and (3) get the right bamboo fiber reinforced composites in sokasi craft making production process to realize high economic value sokasi. It is expected to bring the positive impacts to the improvement of local tourism products and direct use of Balinese people through bamboo fiber reinforced composites in sokasi craft making. The sokasi craft making can be done by utilizing existing natural potentials and having an impact on other creative industries and other tourism products in Bali. © 2021
