Critical thinking is a skill in receiving information, making decisions, using logical investigations, obtaining results, generating conclusions, thinking rational, and focusing on the decisions taken, as well as a skill that requires instruction and practice. The results of a need analysis of students at the Department of Biology, Universitas Negeri Malang showed that students' critical thinking skill levels are still low. Learning resources in the form of a specific learning model-based module have not been used. Using appropriate learning resources and learning models can improve critical thinking skills. So, this study aims to know the influence of the Ethnobotany module of Karang kitri on the students' critical thinking skills. This research using one group pretest-posttest design to 31 students. The effectiveness of the module analyzed using a paired-sample t-test. The results showed that the value p = 0.000 a (0.05). So, the PjBL-based Ethnobotany module of Karang kitri effectively improving students' critical thinking skills. The Ethnobotany module of Karang kitri also can be used for advanced research, such as to measure the other 21st-century skills. © 2021 Author(s).
