Abstract

Welding is one of the joining processes that are widely used in the manufacturing process. There are several types of splicing, including OA W, SMA W, GMAW. Welding using GMAW uses a protective gas as a medium to prevent the oxidation process of the molten metal. The GMAW welding process on SS 316 metal shows the strength of its mechanical properties by applying the protective gas speed regulation (gas flow rate) and electrode speed regulation (Wire Feeder). The treatment results of regulating the speed of the protective gas (gas flow rate) and setting the pace of the electrode (Wire Feeder) have differences from the hardness test. © 2021 IEEE.
