Abstract

Obesity is a common problem experienced by children with intellectual disabilities due to their daily activity or mobility lack, so that, there are many fats accumulated in body fat tissue. For increasing the understanding and awareness of children with intellectual disabilities about obesity, it is needed a learning media appropriated to their curious minds. The development of flashcard learning media about the food types that cause obesity packaged with augmented reality technology with displays in the form of three-dimensional objects (3d) can improve children's understanding and awareness of school-age children with intellectual disabilities about the importance of healthy food for their growth and development. © 2021 American Institute of Physics Inc..
