Abstract

A learning is said to be successful when students can comprehend and understand the concepts given by the teacher. Misunderstanding the concept or material that students learn is called a misconception. Textbooks are still the main source of information in the learning process. However, the fact is that there are still many errors in the textbooks used in schools as teaching materials used by students and teachers. The purpose of this study is to determine the errors found in biology textbooks used by schools in Malang on naked seed plants material. The results showed that of the 3 textbooks studied, there are 5 misconceptions, 9 principle errors, and 10 errors in writing scientific names. © 2021 Author(s).
