Abstract

The purpose of this research is pertaining to digital transformation and technology empowerment; especially in the aspect of the new paradigm of classroom management for freedom learning policies in Indonesia. The research data were obtained and examined from educational figures who were closely related to the freedom learning paradigm. The characters in question are Carl Ransom Rogers, John Dewey, and Henry Armand Giroux. The analysis of the data was through Gadamer's hermeneutic paradigm. Data interpretation comes from text, in the form of the work of the character in question. The study finds that the digital transformation and technology empowerment, especially in the aspect of the classroom management paradigm for the 'Merdeka Belajar' policy in Indonesia, occur due to internal and external factors. The implications for classroom management are discussed further. © 2022 IEEE.
