In this paper, the nanocomposite magnetic material (NCMM) of substituted BaFe12O19 and Fe2O3 was synthesized by using solid state reaction (SSR) method. Ba0.9Ca0.1Fe12O19 with different absorption frequencies were chosen to fabricate the nanocomposite with Fe2O3. The crystalline structure and microwave properties were investigated with X-ray diffraction (XRD) and a vector network analyzer (VNA) in the frequency range of 7-13 GHz, respectively. The results show that crystallographic analysis resulted the phases as BaFe12O19 and Fe2O3. The NCMM is an optimum microwave attenuation material with a broad frequency range. Its minimum reflection loss (RL) is about -38.42 dB. The results indicated that MCMM have a good RL and broadband absorption in the microwave frequency range. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
