One of the positive impacts of technological developments is that there are no limits for someone to communicate. Freedom of expression causes students to forget to set boundaries when interacting with people who have different cultures when using social media. This sometimes causes friction or even intolerance related to SARA to become a common thing on social media. The purpose of this study is to identify high school students regarding the need for cybercounseling services such as what is needed to increase cultural intelligence in social media. The implementation of this research uses quantitative methods with the design of the research implementation using a survey. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively with the aim of finding the basic needs of students. The results showed that most students agreed on the need for cybercounseling services for handling social media problems. Furthermore, that high school students tend to choose a website for the implementation of cybercounseling with the form of supporting media is a short video. The condition experienced by students in social media is that some students still cannot control themselves and have difficulty interacting with people of different cultures when using social media. © 2022 IEEE.
