The protection system is a very important thing to always pay attention to and develop in the electric power system. The reason is because the protection system is the main safeguard in maintaining the continuity of power distribution services and also to protect components and equipment from interference or other abnormal events. Due to current technological advances, various increasingly sophisticated and modern equipment have emerged to help people's lives, but the more sophisticated the equipment, the more sensitive the equipment is to overvoltage. So this demands that the quality of the electricity supply network must be good so that it does not cause damage to consumer equipment. The working system of this tool is a voltage sensor which is communicated with the microcontroller in real time reading the incoming voltage. Furthermore, when a voltage exceeds the limit of the specified tolerance is detected, the microcontroller through a relay connected to the circuit breaker automatically disconnects the overvoltage. Then the indicator on the Box Panel will light up and the 800L SIM module will send a notification via SMS to the officer that there is a disturbance at the distribution substation. The results obtained are that damage to customer equipment can be minimized and the causes of existing disturbances will be immediately addressed by officers. © 2022 IEEE.
