Tourist Preferences for Tourist Attractions and Facilities at the Sanggar Tulungagung Beach Using Correspondence Analysis

Abstract

The tourism sector in Indonesia is one of the drivers of the world economy. In addition, the tourism sector has a positive impact on the improvement and development of the country. It is shown that tourism in Indonesia continues to increase throughout the year. Sanggar Beach in Tulungagung Regency, East Java Province has the potential to be used as ecotourism-based tourism, with unspoiled beach conditions but still few tourist visits. This study aims to determine the results of tourist preferences for tourist attractions and facilities at Sanggar Tulungagung Beach which is expected to increase tourist visits to Sanggar Beach which is carried out using correspondence analysis. This analysis can make it easier to analyze the results formed from the correspondence description on each variable. The results of this study indicate that all attractiveness variables become tourist preferences for visiting Sanggar Beach. Meanwhile, in the results of the correspondence analysis of tourist preferences for tourist facilities, there are the diversity of food stalls sold at Sanggar Beach is not a preference for visiting tourists. To increase tourist visits to Sanggar Beach, Sanggar Beach tourism needs better tourism management and development. © 2022 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.
