One of the power quality problems is voltage sag, that often occurs in distribution systems. Voltage sag can occur due to a phase to ground short circuit in the feeder and affect the voltage balance in feeders. The voltage can be said to be stable if the value is close to 1 pu. Voltage sag faults can cause damage to some equipment sensitive to voltage changes in the load line. To overcome these disturbances, an effective compensation device is needed, namely the Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR). The DVR is placed in series between the feeder line and the sensitive load. The ability of the DVR to detect and compensate for voltage is influenced by the control system. a control system is an Artificial Neural Network added to the DVR because it has the effectiveness and speed of voltage compensation. The results of the DVR simulation for compensating for voltage flicker due to short-circuit phase to ground obtained compensation results of 0.96 pu, two-phase short-circuit to the ground of 0.99 pu, and three-phase short-circuits to the ground of 0.992 pu. © 2023 IEEE.
