Abstract

Digital modules is one way effective to improve students' conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of digital modules using a recitation program on students' conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills about work and energy. Subjects consisted of 49 high school students. This research is a quantitative study with quasi-experimental design using experimental class and control class. The questions used in this study adapted the ECA (Energy Concept Assessment) consisting of 7 questions, EMCS (Energy and Momentum Conceptual Survey) consisted of 3 questions, and previous research consisted of 15 questions. The questions consist of 20 reasoned multiple choice questions and 5 descriptive questions. Data analysis using independent sample t-test and Ngain tets. The results of the analysis show that significance 0.000 is application of digital modules using a recitation program in learning activities had a positive impact on conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills about work and energy with N-Gain of 81% effective category in experimental class. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc..
