Abstract

This research focuses on the development of a room temperature control prototype based on the patient's body temperature, designed specifically for telecare patients who require a certain room temperature. The prototype is created through the stages of planning, design, testing, and evaluation. Black box testing is employed to ensure that all components function as expected. The study results in two devices: a wearable device connected to the patient and a room control device responsible for regulating the blower and window opening/closing mechanisms. The communication distance between these devices is up to 900 cm, and the room control device can detect the patient within a range of 600 cm. The blower and window can be operated to adjust the room temperature to either cold, normal, or warm conditions as desired. © 2023 IEEE.
