Development of E-Module based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) on Human Excretory System Material for Grade VIII Junior High School Students

Abstract

The curriculum 2013 implemented in Indonesia has several characteristics of the learning process. However, these characteristics have not been found optimally in the learning process, one of which is in the material of the human excretory system. Students require visualization to help them understand the material and a contextual learning model that uses real-world problems encountered in the surrounding environment while maximizing problem-solving and critical thinking skills to gain knowledge and concepts. As a result, this research aims to develop an e-module on the human excretory system based on Problem Based Learning (PBL). The research method is a research and development (R&D) model. The data analysis technique used is percentage analysis to assess the feasibility of an e-module and to calculate the Normalized gain score (N-gain) to assess the level of effectiveness. Based on this research, e-module is categorized as very feasible to use in learning with a material assessment score of 94% and a media assessment of 85%. E-module also has high effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes with an N-gain score of 0.72. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.
