Abstract

Learning media is everything that is used to assist teachers in the learning process in achieving learning goals. Learning media also plays a role in supporting the quality of the learning process. At this time, many learning media used by teachers are still passive with minimal interaction. With the existence of learning media that is still being passive, students are reluctant to carry out learning. There fore, an interactive learning media is needed so that students are more interested to participate in learning. The purpose of this development research is to develop an interactive learning media that can increase students' interest in learning in the basic subject of Computer Network Engineering and Telecommunications. In addition, this study also aims to determine the feasibility of interactive learning media. As well as analyzing student learning interests in participating in learning. The research and development method used in this study uses a 4D model which has 4 stages including 1) Define, 2) Design, 3) Develop, 4) Disseminate. The research and development that has been carried out has yielded results in the form of learning media products in the form of websites that can be accessed online. This product received a very decent rating from media experts with a score of 89.09%. The assessment from the material experts got a score of 93.33 % or very decent. Small group testing gets a score of 88.40% or very decent. Large group testing gets a score of 91.41 % or very decent. To increase interest in learning to get a value of 29.25. After using learning media products get a value of 43.86. Where interest in learning has increased after using products that have been developed with a gain value of 0.70. With the results that have been obtained, the purpose of developing this interactive learning media has been achieved. In the future, it is hoped that this product can be disseminated more widely and utilized by teachers and students in carrying out learning. In addition, it is also added with relevant material and features according to existing needs and developments. © 2023 IEEE.
