Implementation of an Object Tracking System Using Arduino and Huskylens Camera

Abstract

The application of object tracking robots in the industrial field is used to help the movement of the goods easily just by following the objects that are already recognized. Robots with object tracking methods can be made using visual sensors, one of which is the Huskylens camera. In addition to the Huskylens camera as a visual sensor, the Arduino UNO is also used as a microcontroller, as is an L298N shield motor driver with two DC motors. The distance and speed of the DC motor are also determined so that the robot's movement towards the intended object can move dynamically. Testing is carried out by detecting objects that have been recognized from various predetermined directions, and testing is carried out using a lux meter sensor to find out the right light conditions for tracking objects. The results obtained in the object detection test on the camera found the X and Y coordinate values as well as the width and height values of object recognition. While the results of measurements using a lux meter found that the average value of the vision sensor can recognize objects at 50 - 150 lux. © 2023 IEEE.
