Critical thinking is one of the skills that must be possessed by every individual to face developments in the current era of globalization. Critical thinking is an important part of the purpose of learning mathematics and is needed in solving mathematical problems. This study aims to describe students' critical thinking skills in solving combinatorics problems in online learning during the covid-19 pandemic. Aspects of critical thinking used in this research are Basic Clarification, Bases for decision, Inference, and Advanced Clarification. This research is descriptive qualitative. Data was collected by means of online tests and interviews. The research subjects were 18 students of introductory algebra, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, State University of Malang. The results showed that most of the critical thinking stages that students were able to achieve were students who were able to reach the basic clarification stage, inference stage, and advanced clarification stage. © 2023 Author(s).
