Abstract

In writing a scientific article, the correct and fast references writing technique is needed. Here we conduct research on the experience of science teachers using the Mendeley application as a reference manager. The quality of a user experience can be measured in three-part, such as 1) attractive, 2) pragmatic, and 3) hedonic. The indicator of attractive quality is attractiveness; the indicator of pragmatic quality is efficiency, perspicuity, and dependability, while the indicator of hedonic quality is stimulation and novelty. The research instrument that we developed based on these indicators was a questionnaire. The number of science teachers who participated as respondents was 60 people that spread across various regions in Indonesia. The results we obtained are as follows: 1) the attractive quality is 90%; 2) the pragmatic quality is 82%, and 3) the hedonic quality is 88%. These three percentages show us that the user experience of Indonesian science teachers for the Mendeley application is very impressive. © 2023 Author(s).
