The stability of the vehicle direction is influenced by two important design parameters, namely (1) yawrate (YR) response and (2) vehicle side slip (VSS) response. If the two variables are not good, it will result in over/under steering which causes the vehicle to lose direction and an accident occurs. Many researchers have produced findings about yawrate response controls such as direct yaw control, PID yaw rate control, H-infinite global chassis control, sliding mode yawrate control, vehicle stability control fuzzy etc. Four-wheel steering control is one of the best vehicle side slip controls. For this reason, in this study, we designed and made a prototype four-wheel steering based on fuzzy-mamdani which can reduce the effects of over and under steering. © 2023 Author(s).
