The validity of learning packages based on metacognitive approach in blended learning to support higher order thinking skills

Abstract

Blended learning has become a ubiquitous part of students experience in tertiary education. Blende learning can run as expected if it is supported by appropriate learning tools. This study aims to describe the validity of learning packages for blended learning with metacognitive approach that consisted of lesson plan and lesson book. This study was the part of research and development that was 4D model. Validation was carried out by three experts which used validation instrument. The result of the validity test show that the average value for lesson plan is 3,8 and the average value for the text book is 3,7. Based on the values, it can be concluded that the learning packages that consist of lecture plan and text book for blended learning with a metacognitive approach meet the validity criteria since the lesson plan and the text book is in "very valid"category. © 2023 Author(s).
