Abstract

To find out the condition of the Lahor dam, the scan was carried out on the core of the dam using the B-scan method using georadar with 90 MHz frequency. The analysis shows that the dam was in good condition based on the water table from georadar’s radargram. Because the dam design was lost, the information on the type of dam core material is unknown. Based on the water table at the dam and the Casagrande equation the material in the core dam could be determine. Assuming that Lahor dam is a homogeneous type of embankment dam, the core material permeability value of the dam is k = 5.01735×10-2 cm/s which is fine sand. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc..
