The effect of SWCNTs-air distillation nanofluid was experimentally investigated as a working fluid on the efficiency of flat plate solar collectors. The volume fractions of nanoparticles were 0.1%, 0.3%, and 0.5% with a particle diameter of 2 nm. Experiments were carried out by adding polyvinylpyrrolidone as a surfactant. The volumetric flow rate of nanofluids varies from 0.8 lit/min, 1 lit/min, and 1.2 lit/min. ASHRAE standards are used to calculate efficiency. The aim of this research is to improve heat transfer performance by utilizing nanofluid based on SWCNTs nanoparticles. The results showed that the efficiency of nanofluids as a working fluid was higher than using distilled water and the higher the volume fraction, then higher the efficiency. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc..
