Abstract

Arcidae is a potentially s shellfish family in Lada Gulf, Sunda Strait, Pandeglang Banten, Indonesia. The level of exploitation and overfishing as well as pressure on natural habitat conditions are thought to affect the presence of shellfish populations of the Arcidae family. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between length and weight, growth patterns, and condition factors of the Arcidae family. The research was conducted in the Sunda Lada Strait Bay waters using descriptive methods with survey techniques covering 3 zones (Bama Beach, Cibungur Beach, and Panimbang Beach), each zone divided into three stations. The results of the identification of 4 types of shellfish in the Arcidae family, namely Anadara granosa, Scapharca pilula, Anadara antiquata, and Barbatia barbata, show that the long weight relationship in all zones follows a negative allometric growth pattern, with a sequential equation model W= 0.0036L2.4919, W= 0.0008 L2,8456, W= 0.0106 L1,9561, and W= 0,0017L2,2549. In this study, the highest number was represented by A. granosa as much as 2,636 individuals with a composition of 52%, while the lowest was 5. barbata as many as 93 individuals with a composition of 2%. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc..
