Science teacher satisfaction using Google classroom as learning management system during the Covid-19 pandemic in East Java Indonesia

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic situation has changed the learning system in the world from offline to online. Online learning is carried out using several applications as a Learning Management System (LMS), and the most used app is Google Classroom. This research aims to identify the science teacher's response using the google classroom application as an LMS. To collect the data, a questionnaire was used to get: a) science teacher profile (pure and education of biology, physics, chemistry background degree); and b) science teacher satisfaction (tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy dimension). The results show that the highest percentage of science teacher profile in bachelor degree is physics education with 24% and in master degree is science education with 8%. While the result of science teacher satisfaction in the five dimensions is also fulfilled although they teaching biology, physics, and chemistry topic in junior high school. The implications of this research are giving advice for science teachers to use google classroom in school during the Covid-19 pandemic. © 2023 Author(s).
