Abstract

Nanofluid is of great attention because of the physical properties and the effective thermal conductivity. Many applications of nanofluids are in improving the performance of heat exchangers. This study aims to measure and analyze the thermophysical properties of SWCNTs. Concentrations used in nanofluids are 0.1%, 0.3%, and 0.5% with distilled water as the base fluid. The process of nanoparticle characterization SWCNTs is done by testing the thermal conductivity and specific heat using C-Them TCI (thermal conductivity analyzer), viscosity test using a viscometer NDJ-8S, density test using a density meter, METTLER toledo, test FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra Red), XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) test, and SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) test. SWCNTs have high mechanical strength, thermal conductivity and good electrical conductors, structure and strength of high appeal. SWCNTs nanofluids showed an increase compared to distilled water in various variations. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.
