The spinel oxide MnCr2O4 compound with two constituent metals (Mangan and Chromium) has an electrochemical potential as an anode material for KIB. This study focused on the determination of the as-synthesized MnCr2O4 composition who is formed from the coprecipitation of Mn(II) and Cr(III) salts solution and sintering at 750℃ as well as electrochemical activity. The as-synthesized MnCr2O4 gave high purity of 99.2% with a particle size of 114 nm. The electrochemical activity (against Ag/AgCl) showed an anodic peak (Ipa) at 0.5677 V and cathodic peak (Ipc) at 0.1280 V. The as-synthesized MnCr2O4 potentially studied as anode material for KIB batteries. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.
