Abstract

This study aimed to conduct a comprehensive literature study on holograms as a science learning media. Based on an interview with seven science students, six did not know what a hologram was. This research employed the qualitative method with the literature study design carried out in 3 stages. The first stage was finding the types of hologram kits as the projection planes for the hologram object. The second stage was finding the types of hologram objects for all projection planes. In the third stage, a SWOT analysis was carried out to determine the sustainability of holograms for science learning media. The study found that the hologram kit consisted of one-sided, two-sided, three-sided, four-sided, diamond-shaped, and vinyl. At the same time, the number of hologram objects was proportional to the number of projection planes. The analysis indicated that holograms as science learning media is the potential to be developed in the future. © 2023 Author(s).
