Electric Vehicles (EVs) play a crucial role in the Green Energy sector due to their eco-friendly and sustainable features, mainly when they rely on renewable energy sources. It is essential to merge EV charging stations with renewable energy systems in order to alleviate energy challenges and decrease the burden on the power grid. This research examines the feasibility of this integration to enhance environmentally friendly transportation. The goal is to develop a structured framework and approach for assessing the viability of incorporating EV charging stations with renewable energy sources in residential areas. Additionally, the study investigates the energy, the economic, and the environmental advantages of an integrated system combining Photovoltaic panels and Wind Turbines (PV/WT) linked to the power grid, utilizing the HOMER-Grid tool to build a comprehensive simulation model. The research aims to validate and project the proposed energy system to meet the energy requirements of the Greenland Giwangan Residence in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A sensitivity analysis will be conducted using this simulation in order to analyze how variations in the model’s output are influenced by different input changes, mainly focusing on various loading levels and their impact on economic viability. The results indicate that Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems (HRES), when paired with EV charging stations, can significantly mitigate the pressure on the electrical grid and deliver power at competitive rates compared to traditional energy sources. © 2024 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l.-All rights reserved.
