Abstract

In an era where technology is changing the way people interact and learn, the role of social media has become increasingly important in facilitating communication between communities, schools and students. This research aims to describe the role of social media as an important tool in shaping relationships between communities, schools and students in encouraging entrepreneurial career choices among students. Qualitative research with a case study design was used to achieve this goal. There are eight ways to use social media as a channel for school relations with the community in encouraging students’ entrepreneurial career choices, including (a) Engagement and Awareness, (b) Resource Sharing, (c) Collaborations and Networking, (d) Interactive Learning, (e) Feedback and Support, (f) Showcasing Student Initiatives, (g) Partnerships and Sponsorships and (h) Continuous Support. This research provides valuable insights for entrepreneurship-oriented educational approaches and strengthens the relationship between schools, communities and businesses. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
