Abstract

The aim of this research is to produce learning materials that help students enhance their creativity in the field of Automation Manufacturing Systems (AMS). It is important to educate students with a combination of technical competencies and creative thinking abilities due to the rapid development of industrial automation and the increasing relevance of inventive problem-solving skills in today's job market. Learning materials are created, produced, implemented, and evaluated methodically through the application of the ADDIE instructional design paradigm in this research. A comprehensive needs analysis was conducted as part of the research to identify areas where existing learning materials are still lacking and to gain an understanding of the specific learning objectives related to AMS posted on the MOOCs. As a result of these findings, a collection of educational materials was developed that combines interactive elements, practical exercises, and real-world examples with the aim of promoting creativity. Formative and summative assessments are used together with each other to determine the effectiveness of these tools within the confines of a safe classroom setting. According to the findings, there is a significant improvement in students' creativity outcomes, evaluated based on their ability to generate new ideas. The effectiveness and importance of the materials developed to foster a more innovative and engaging learning environment are underscored by the feedback received from both students and lecturers.. © 2024 IEEE.
